It all started when…

Lamar W Johnson graduated from Southern Polytechnic State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a Minor in Construction Management in 2012. After graduation, he joined Architectural Graphics Incorporated in spring 2013 as a surveyor and operations/engineering project manager for metal panel production. He later transitioned to a project management role with Holder Construction Company in Cupertino, CA, overseeing rebar and concrete engineering. After relocating to Clemson, SC, to lead the MEP effort at Douthit Hills, he moved to Huntsville, AL, as a Senior Engineer in Operations for the Project NHA Data Center. On-site, he managed all Civil, Structural, Landscape, and Architectural activities, while driving technology innovations through drone usage, virtual punch lists, AR integration with BIM modeling, and the client closeout process for Phase 1 construction. He currently serves as a Project Manager for Phase 3 of the same site. Additionally, Lamar has taken on the role of Project Manager Lead for the auxiliary buildings of a solar panel manufacturing plant, overseeing their development and integration. He also serves as the Quality and Commissioning Manager for an EV battery manufacturing plant, ensuring compliance with quality standards and managing commissioning processes.
